Meetings

The Oregon Coast Woodturners Club has a monthly meeting held on the 4th Saturday at 10am. The meetings are at Hasting Coastal Woodworks in South Beach and are open to anyone interested.  During the club meetings there will be new and old business discussion, show and tell, Presidents Challenge, a demonstration, and then concludes with a wood raffle. Meetings last about an hour and a half with one break. Bring your recent project in for show and tell and don’t forget to turn your piece for the challenge.

We encourage those who are interested to join us.

Membership

We invite anybody interested in woodturning, or in learning about woodturning to join. Members are encouraged to attend meetings and demonstrations, and to share their skills with others.

We are an informal group and we have a great time when we get together. Of course we also have a common interest, Woodturning, and we encourage you to share your skills and knowledge with us and we will do the same.

Dues are $30 per calendar year, collected at the beginning of the year.

Wood Raffle

To help fund the club we hold a raffle at the end of every meeting. Members donate the wood and can range from bottles topper sized seasoned pieces to freshly cut logs. The raffle is open to everyone, tickets sell for $1 each. There have been many great turnings produced from raffle wood.

Meeting Location

Are meetings are held at our local turning supply store, Hasting Coastal Woodworks. With a 2000 sq. ft. shop area there is plenty of room for club meetings and demonstrations.
